Basketball Arcade Hire
Exponential Games provides basketball arcade hire for corporate events, product launches, exhibitions and brand activations — with full custom branding available for every machine.
Players step up and shoot against the clock, with automatic ball return and live scoring creating fast-paced competition that naturally draws repeat play and crowd interaction.
Deployed for IBM, AliExpress and Blackmores activations across Sydney and major national events, the basketball arcade is a proven format for turning foot traffic into active engagement. Available across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with nationwide delivery for large-scale events.
How It Works
Participants step up, press Start, and the machine releases four balls as the 30-second timer begins. Players shoot as fast as possible to rack up points before time runs out.
During the opening phase, each made basket scores 2 points. At the 10-second mark, the game shifts into a higher-intensity finish: the ring begins moving left to right and each basket is worth 3 points, rewarding speed, accuracy and composure under pressure.

Branding Options
This machine can be custom branded to match your campaign, turning it into a high-impact
feature at expos and retail activations.
- High-visibility areas
Header panel & backboard — ideal for logos or campaign headlines, visible across the floor. - Player touchpoints
Control panel & ball return gate — great for calls-to-action or sponsor marks. - Side & front panels
LHS/RHS (upper & lower) and the full lower front — use as spot decals or a continuous design.
For maximum impact, you can combine all zones for a full machine wrap that looks purpose-built for your brand.

Variations
While the Basketball League is our most popular and recommended model for branding activations, we also keep a small number of alternative units for situations where access or venue constraints make the League impractical. Availability of these variations depends on location — please check with us when enquiring.
- Extreme Shot (Full Size)
Oversized version suited to very large spaces. Its red frame makes it less ideal for branding, but it creates a bold visual presence where sheer size is the priority. - Street Basketball (Compact)
Slightly smaller yellow-framed unit, best suited where venue access is restricted (tight doorways or lifts). - Junior Basketball
Lightweight fold-up style unit, reserved for locations with extremely difficult access (such as stairs or venues without lift access).
(During consultation, we’ll recommend the model that best fits your activation and location.)
FAQ
Is the basketball arcade game suitable for corporate events and expos?
Yes — basketball arcade games are a strong choice for corporate events, expos, pop-ups and shopping centre activations. The game is instantly recognisable, so people understand how it works at a glance, which helps draw players in without explanation.
The machine itself is a good size and highly visible from a distance, making it very attention-grabbing on busy show floors or retail environments. This visibility naturally attracts crowds and creates energy around your stand or activation.
With short game rounds of around 30–45 seconds, the basketball game can handle a steady flow of participants without long queues. It works well across a wide range of ages and abilities, making it a reliable option for high-traffic public and corporate environments.
Does the basketball arcade game suit all skill levels?
Yes — the basketball arcade game is designed to suit a wide range of skill levels, from first-time players to more competitive participants. The objective is simple and familiar, so anyone can step up and have a go without needing instructions or prior experience.
At the same time, the game still rewards accuracy and rhythm, which keeps it engaging for more confident or competitive players. For events using prizes, rewards can be awarded based on score thresholds rather than just the top score, helping keep the game fair and inclusive across mixed ability levels.
This balance makes the basketball game well suited to mixed crowds, where you might have kids, adults and corporate teams all playing the same game, and encourages repeat plays from participants looking to improve their score.
How many people can play the basketball arcade game per hour?
A basketball arcade game can comfortably handle a high number of players per hour, which makes it well suited to busy events and high-traffic environments. Each game typically runs for around 30–45 seconds, allowing a steady flow of participants without long queues building up.
At expos, shopping centre activations and pop-ups, this fast turnaround helps keep energy high while ensuring more people get a chance to play. The clear start-and-finish nature of each game also makes it easy for players to self-manage turns, reducing the need for constant supervision.
For events where throughput is critical, basketball games are one of the most efficient arcade-style options available.
How do prizes work on the basketball arcade game?
Prizes on the basketball arcade game are typically awarded based on score rather than just the single highest result. This allows the game to work well in mixed-skill environments, where participants of different ages and abilities can all have a fair chance to win.
Often, prize thresholds are set manually using on-site signage, which clearly shows what prizes are awarded for achieving specific scores. This approach keeps the game flexible and easy to adapt for different event formats, whether you’re encouraging participation or running a more competitive activation.
For more competitive or high-visibility activations, an optional live leaderboard can be added. Scores are entered via a simple mobile app and displayed on a large on-screen leaderboard, making it ideal for friendly competition, team challenges or timed giveaways throughout the event.
