Cash Grab Booth Hire

A cash grab booth — also known as a money booth, wind machine or cash grab machine — is one of the few activation formats where stepping inside is part of the experience. Thirty seconds of swirling notes with a crowd watching from outside creates a moment that’s hard to replicate with anything else on the floor.

Cash grab booth hire is popular with clubs, car dealerships and retail activations — anywhere a high-energy prize moment needs to stop foot traffic and create a crowd.

How It Works

Participants step inside the Cash Grab Booth as lightweight notes circulate around them. Once the timer begins, they have a fixed period — typically between 15 and 30 seconds — to grab as many notes as possible before time runs out.

At the end of the round, collected notes are counted according to the agreed event format. Brands can define the winning criteria in advance, such as allowing participants to keep only what they can hold in one hand, or permitting notes to be placed in pockets during the challenge.

The adjustable timer and flexible prize rules make the Cash Grab Booth suitable for a wide range of event formats, from quick throughput activations to high-value competition moments.

FAQ

Is the Cash Grab Booth suitable for all ages and abilities?

Yes — the booth can be used by a wide range of participants, and settings like timer duration or rules can be adjusted to suit different audiences. It acts as a people magnet at events without requiring specialised skill.

What types of items can be used inside the Cash Grab Booth?

You can use lightweight paper notes (80gsm), coupons, tickets or vouchers that fit within the booth and circulate easily. The choice of item can be tailored to your prize strategy — for example, branded coupons, discount vouchers or faux cash for giveaways.

Is there a recommended number of notes or items to use?

For visual impact and effective circulation, many hires use a substantial volume of lightweight paper items (often hundreds) depending on booth size. This helps create the characteristic swirling effect and gives participants plenty to grab during the timed challenge.

Can the Cash Grab Booth be used outdoors or in tight spaces?

The booth generally works best on a flat, level surface indoors or under cover. If outdoor use is planned, make sure the space can accommodate the machine safely and that wind or weather won’t disrupt operation — we can advise on suitability during consultation.

Do participants keep the items they grab?

That is entirely up to you and how the activity is structured for your event. You can set rules such as “participants keep what they can hold,” “collected items must match predefined prize values,” or “items convert to discount vouchers or promotional rewards,” depending on your goals.
