Buzz Wire Game Hire
Buzz wire game hire gives guests a simple but highly engaging steady-hand challenge for events, expos and brand activations. The Buzz Board takes the familiar buzz wire concept and turns it into a larger branded event piece, using a CNC-cut metal playfield instead of a traditional bent wire.
Buzz Board hire is available across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with other locations available depending on timing, freight and event requirements.
Custom tracks can be designed to suit your brand, logo, or theme.
How It Works
Players press the start button, place the rod into the start position, and wait for the countdown from 3. Once the countdown finishes, they guide the rod through the track towards the finish point.
The aim is to complete the path before time runs out, without touching the walls of the track. If the rod touches the edge, the machine makes a buzz sound and the player loses a life. The standard setup gives each player 5 lives.
For events, the Buzz Board works well because the game is easy to understand, quick to watch and naturally creates tension as players move through the track. The time limit and number of lives can be adjusted to suit the audience, and a leaderboard can be added for competitive activations.

Branding Options
- Standard Branding Package
The Buzz Board is designed for branded activations. The face / playfield can be branded with custom artwork, with a customisable area of 150cm wide x 90cm high. The cabinet can also be branded with campaign artwork to create a complete front-facing event piece. - Custom CNC-Cut Track Shape
For a higher level of customisation, the track itself can be CNC-cut into a custom shape. This allows the path to suit the client concept, brand, product shape, logo-inspired route or campaign idea. Custom track production usually requires approx. 2 to 4 weeks, depending on design, artwork approval and event deadline. - LED Colour Matching
The LED lighting can be adjusted to suit the artwork, brand colours or event theme, helping the machine feel more integrated with the activation space. - Full Wrap Option
For maximum visual transformation, the entire external surface can be fully wrapped in custom artwork. A full wrap delivers a completely unified branded appearance, ideal for high-impact campaigns and hero installations.
During consultation, we’ll recommend the branding configuration that best suits your campaign objectives and venue layout.

Variations
- Buzz Board
The Buzz Board is the main customisable version. It features a large CNC-cut metal playfield, branded face and cabinet artwork, adjustable LED lighting and a track shape that can be designed around the client concept. - Smaller Traditional Buzz Wire Game
A smaller traditional buzz wire game may be available for selected events. This version is more compact and can be transported in a protective road case, making it more suitable for some multi-state event programs. The wire shape is not customisable in the same way as the Buzz Board.
During consultation, we can recommend whether the custom Buzz Board or the smaller traditional buzz wire game is better suited to the event format, location and freight requirements.
FAQ
Is this the same as a buzz wire game?
Yes. The Buzz Board is our custom version of a buzz wire game. The main difference is that the path is cut from a metal playfield instead of being made from a traditional bent wire, which allows the track shape to be customised more precisely.
Can the Buzz Board be customised or branded?
Yes. The face / playfield and cabinet can be branded with custom artwork. For a higher level of customisation, the track itself can also be CNC-cut into a custom shape to suit a product, logo-inspired path, campaign idea or event theme.
Does the player get shocked?
No. This is a buzzer-style challenge game, not an electric shock game. If the rod touches the edge of the track, the machine makes a buzz sound and the player loses a life.
Is it suitable for outdoor events?
The Buzz Board is best suited to indoor or covered event spaces. Outdoor use may be possible only where the machine is protected from rain, direct weather and uneven ground.
Does it require supervision?
Supervision is recommended, especially for public-facing events, competitions and leaderboard activations. This helps manage the queue, explain the start process and keep the game running smoothly.
